The Sri Lankan photographer Lionel Wendt (1900–44) is the starting point for the curatorial rationale of the exhibition ‘PIVOT GLIDE ECHO’ at KALĀ and can be seen as the turning point towards the contemporary in both Sri Lanka and for its diaspora.
