Applications are officially open for the IAF x KALĀ Artist in Residence Programme 2027!  

IAF x KALĀ continue their partnership with a new open call – inviting Sri Lankan artists to propose an ambitious, site-specific work for the IAF 2027 fairgrounds in New Delhi. This collaborative residency brings one emerging Sri Lankan artist living in India or Sri Lanka into the heart of South Asia’s leading contemporary art platform.

Receive close mentorship, curatorial dialogue, and guidance from IAF and KALĀ teams to help refine your vision and navigate the global art ecosystem.

The Residency Offers:

• Production budget 
• Return travel & accommodation in New Delhi
• Shipping, installation, & de-installation support
• Mentorship & full access to IAF’s production team
• Mentorship & support across ideation, creation, and production of the artwork
• A public showcase as part of the IAF Artist in Residence Programme

Who Should Apply?

• Artists of Sri Lankan origin (based in India or Sri Lanka)
• No current/previous formal gallery representation
• No previous major solo exhibitions
• Working in any medium (sculpture, installation, sound, performance, new media, craft, etc.)
• Project must be site-specific, weather proof considering outdoor conditions
