Launched in October 2021, the Artists for Artists (A4A) Production Fund is Sri Lanka’s first publicly funded arts grant, established to support contemporary artistic practice at a time of significant economic and social challenge. Conceived as a homegrown and accessible initiative, A4A enables artists to continue researching, producing, and presenting new bodies of work, filling a critical gap in locally available support.

Now in its fourth year, A4A has evolved to reflect the growing scope of Sri Lanka’s contemporary art landscape.

Through sustained mentorship, peer support, and locally funded grants, the A4A Production Fund continues to strengthen Sri Lanka’s artistic ecosystem—demonstrating the enduring value of initiatives shaped by artists, supported by artists, and dedicated to the long-term growth of the artist community.

The exhibition opens with a preview on 11th February at 6pm in the New Garden Gallery of at the Sapumal Foundation 4/32 Barnes Place, Colombo 7

The exhibition and sale will stay open through to the 15th of February with all proceeds going directly to each artist.
